LA GRANDE – The La Grande School District is roughly down 100 students, pre-COVID and that could mean funding problems down the road, since funds depend on enrollment, said Superintendent George Mendoza.  There are enough funds for the next two years to maintain staffing, programs, and services.  After the funds go, there could be potential funding issues.  The reason the enrollment is down is due to more students are home schooling and taking on-line courses.  Currently the enrollment in the district is 2,017 students.
