Emergency response drill and training scheduled at Dayton HS Wednesday

DAYTON – A multi-agency drill and training will take place on Wednesday at Dayton High School.

This Columbia County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) says the exercise will focus on emergency response and is being staged in collaboration with local emergency responders.

CCSO says the exercise will help assure a coordinated, timely and effective response and recovery in the event of a major incident.

They want to notify the public ahead of time to avoid confusion since there will be a presence of law enforcement at the school. The exercise is closed to the public.
