Emergency preparedness for local residents with disabilities

JOHN DAY – We learned earlier this month that Central Oregon Disability Network will be hosting a free event in support of local individuals with disabilities, along with their families. Preparedness Coordinator Jasmine Helsley-Barnett reminds folks it’ll be the 2^nd week in May:

“We offer a two-part training that’s for free. We’ll be in Grant County May 10^th at 9 a.m., and May 24 that at 10 a.m. at your John Day Fire Department. We will be doing a two-part training for emergency preparedness.”

The first event on the 10^th will focus on training, as well as the individual needs of each attendee. The second day on the 24^th will focus on getting free preparedness kits to the attendees and going over how to use them.
