JOHN DAY – We learned earlier this month that Central Oregon Disability Network will be hosting a free event in support of local individuals with disabilities, along with their families. Preparedness Coordinator Jasmine Helsley-Barnett reminds folks it’ll be the 2nd week in May:

“We offer a two-part training that’s for free. We’ll be in Grant County May 10th at 9 a.m., and May 24 that at 10 a.m. at your John Day Fire Department. We will be doing a two-part training for emergency preparedness.”

The first event on the 10th will focus on training, as well as the individual needs of each attendee. The second day on the 24th will focus on getting free preparedness kits to the attendees and going over how to use them.
