Emergency Discharge of Wastewater at City of Burns Lagoons

BURNS(Released from the City of Burns)-The City of Burns is issuing this public notice to inform residents and stakeholders about an emergency discharge of wastewater that will occur at the City of Burns Lagoon due to high amounts of Inflow and Infiltration from heavy snow melt causing flooding waters in the area in and around the City of Burns.

The City is taking all necessary precautions to minimize environmental impact. The Discharge is treated water and will be monitored closely to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.

Residents are advised to avoid the area in and around the Lagoons and asked to use limited water during this time period.
