Elkhorn Media Group plays a role in making an FFA star

PENDLETON – Pendleton High School recently awarded stars to outstanding members in a variety of categories. FFA Advisor Marty Campbell said the stars are Star Farmer Abbie Wilks, Star Greenhand Gracie Caldwell, Star in Ag Placement June Reynolds, Ag Mechanics Star June Reynolds, and (our) Ag Business Star Mackenna Naughton.

Elkhorn Media Group is a long-time supporter of FFA and the company was proud to give Mackenna Naughton the opportunity to delve into Ag Business on the air. We provided air time on several of our radio stations to broadcast UCo Ag Talk which was created in the FFA classroom and, with some help in production, was sent out on the airwaves.

“Mackenna has become somewhat of a local celebrity with her radio show, UCo Ag Talk,” Marty Campbell said. “Dedicating herself to finding guests, conducting interviews, and producing the show, she has created a pretty strong following around the region. In partnership with Elkhorn Media, her business is promoting the Ag industry in very unique ways.”

Campbell says he’s been approached by people who want to meet her based on their listening to UCo Ag Talk.
