ELGIN – During the 2025 National Association of Agricultural Educators Convention in Nashville, Elgin School District’s Daniel Bolen was officially honored as the Region 1 Outstanding Agriculture Teacher. Bolen was the only Oregon agricultural teacher to be recognized by the NAAE with a national award during the convention.
Bolen was initially named an outstanding teacher award recipient by the NAAE in Late July but formally received the honor during the convention December 8-12. In the original announcement for the award, the NAAE wrote:
“Bolen, the Agricultural Science and Technology Instructor and FFA Advisor at Elgin High School in Elgin, Oregon, has built a nationally recognized program rooted in hands-on learning, community engagement, and leadership development. His passion for agricultural education has transformed the Elgin FFA Chapter into a powerhouse of student achievement and service.”
The original announcement, including more details on Bolen’s work at Elgin, can be found here.
