ELGIN – The Elgin Lions Club is staying busy this holiday season. In addition to the recent success of the club’s annual basketball tournament, as well as lending a hand to the Elgin Opera House, the club also recently hosted an in-house live auction and dinner, which raised over $2,000. More details were released by the Elgin Lions Club:

The dishes served by Lion members were “finger-licking” good as members helped themselves to delicious dishes served without utensils. The local club had many dishes to satisfy their hunger before the auction began. Auctioneers Susie Harris and PCC Steve Oliver, assisted by Daryl Hawes and Steve Craig, auctioned items made by club members. The auction was a resounding success with the final count of $2050 for club coffers.
