Elgin Lions are staying busy with 2025 activities

ELGIN – (Release from the Elgin Lions Club) The Elgin Lions finished up the year with numerous activities. Community members benefitted from the purchase of vision examinations and distribution of 17 glasses, as well as an individual needing a hearing aid.

Members also voted unanimously to send a check of $500 to Lions International to assist with the firefighting programs in California. Another $500 was sent to International to support the Foundation’s activities.

The club voted to support a Little League baseball team as they did in the previous year. Funding for the programs have continued through weekly BINGO Sessions.

On April 2nd, 2025, the Elgin Lions will be having vision screenings in the Imbler and Elgin schools, as well as presenting flags to the first graders in each district. 

Members will be attending the District convention held in Hood River on April 4th and 5th.
