ELGIN- Thanks to an anonymous donation, residents in Elgin, or anyone with an Elgin address or zip code, can attend opening night of Beetlejuice Jr at the Elgin Opera House (EOH) for free.
Terry Hale, Executive Director for EOH says that this is the second time this couple has made this sort of donation. According to Hale, the couple are newer residents of Elgin, and after attending a show at the Elgin Opera House, they noticed that a lot of people leaving the show were heading out of town. They decided to purchase all the seats for a show and give them away to their neighbors and fellow residents of the Elgin community so they could enjoy a show.
Any Elgin resident who would like to attend Beetlejuice Jr. on February 28th for free can stop by Elgin Electric during regular hours to pick up a ticket(s). No children under 4 will be allowed. These tickets are first come, first served.
If you are not a resident of Elgin but would like to attend a showing, you can purchase tickets online at https://operahouse.thundertix.com/
Anyone who would like to leave a note of thanks for the Elgin couple can leave a note at the concession stand the night of the performance. Hale says he will make sure they receive those notes.
