Edwards named Sharpstein Elementary principal

WALLA WALLA – Walla Walla Public Schools announces Sarah Edwards has been named the new Sharpstein Elementary School principal following a comprehensive hiring process which included input from parents, staff, community members and students.
Edwards currently serves as the principal of Discovery Primary School in Fife. She was also assistant principal at the same school and at two other schools in Washington state prior to her current position.
Superintendent Wade Smith said Edwards is a strong advocate for student inclusion and access, and is experienced with special education and co-teaching practices.
Edwards will report to her new position on July 1.
