PENDLETON – Oregon state education officials are already hard at work discussing what schools will look like in the fall. InterMountain Education Service District Superintendent Mark Mulvihill said a statement made by Gov. Kate Brown gives them reason to hope for normal.
“The governor came out on Sunday (saying) that it’s her hope that we can get our vaccination numbers up and COVID positive numbers down, so that we could open the economy in June,” Mulvihill said.
He hopes Oregonians consider taking precautions against COVID-19 if not for themselves, then for students.
“If we have our numbers down and if we can get control of this stuff, we can look pretty normal in the fall, and we’re moving forward to do that,” he said.
