Eastern Oregon rivers remain open to Steelhead fishing through April 30

EASTERN OREGON – For anglers still looking to catch some steelhead this fall and winter, ODFW announced in their latest recreation report that multiple Eastern Oregon rivers will remain open to Steelhead fishing through spring 2024. The report specifically states that:

“Enough unmarked steelhead have passed the Bonneville and Ice Harbor dams that the John Day, Deschutes, Snake, Grande Ronde, Imnaha and Wallowa rivers will remain open to steelhead fishing through April 30, 2024, per permanent regulations.”
