Eastern Oregon hospitals report new year’s newborns in La Grande and Ontario

ONTARIO – The new year means new beginnings, and apparently newborns in Eastern Oregon. Recently, the Grande Ronde Hospital in La Grande reported their first baby of 2024. The GRH announcement reads:

“The first baby of the New Year has arrived at Grande Ronde Hospital! Parents Lilly Naiser and Aaron Jeffers, along with older brothers Cayden (4) and Conri (2), welcomed baby boy Aziel Jeffers at 9:37 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3. Aziel was born at five (5) pounds 10.5 ounces, measuring 18 ½ inches long.

To celebrate his arrival, Aziel’s family were presented with a gift basket overflowing with diapers and gifts from the GRH Auxiliary, as well as a quilt from the Quilt Questers on the afternoon of January 4.  Our Auxiliary, Family Birthing Center and entire GRH family congratulates the family on Aziel’s special arrival, and wishes them a year of hope, health and blessings!”

In addition, Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario recently reported their first newborn of 2024. Mia Alfaro was born to Juan and Brittany Alfaro on January 2nd, 2024, at 8lbs, 3oz. In the social media announcement, Saint Alphonsus wrote:

“Maternity staff were proud to welcome this precious miracle to her parents, Juan & Brittany Alfaro. Congratulations!”
