SALEM – The Regional Forest Practice Committee for Eastern Oregon meets virtually at 9 a.m. Monday. There’s only one item on the agenda. The committee is set to make a decision on who the operator of the year is.

The committees are panels of citizens that advise the Oregon Board of Forestry and may also assist in developing appropriate rules to govern forest practices. The committees are comprised of citizens who are qualified by education or experience in natural resource management. By law, a majority of the members must be private forest landowners ore represent logging or forest operations companies.

The public is welcome to attend the meeting online. The Teams link to the meeting can be found on the group’s agenda.
