Eastern Oregon arts organizations receive $20,000 to support local students

BAKER CITY & ENTERPRISE – Continuing their stream of 2025 grant announcements, the Oregon Arts Commission recently confirmed that Crossroads Creative and Performing Arts Center in Baker City and Fishtrap Inc. in Enterprise will each receive $10,000 in grant funding. This is part of the commission’s Arts Learning Program, meant to strengthen arts education in Oregon for K-12 students. In total, 31 arts organizations across the state will each receive $10,000, for a total of $310,000 in funding.

Reflecting on the grants, Executive Director for the Oregon Arts Commission Brian Rogers was quoted as stating:

“Unfortunately, so many schools lack adequate funding for arts education. We are grateful that arts organizations are providing well-rounded education through creative and enriching learning experiences for our youth. Arts education inspires further development and creative problem-solving skills that are important for Oregon’s future leaders.”

The specific funding projects for Crossroads and Fishtrap (as written by the Oregon Arts Commission) are as follows:
