Durkee Fire burning in Baker County

BAKER COUNTY – Officials have updated information for the Durkee Fire for July 19, 2023

Total Resources: 88 personnel, 11 engines, 2 crews, and 2 dozers

The Durkee Fire has now spread to an estimated 3,000 acres. The federal government’s Northwest Team 6 took command of the fire as of this morning.
The Baker County Sheriff’s Office says evacuation orders will remain the same until further notice and residents have been notified. The Sheriff’s Office says they are not aware of any structure loss. Burnt River Canyon Road remains closed.
Northwest Team 6 says surplus resources from the Cow Valley Fire in Malheur County are now being used to help assess and suppress the Durkee fire.
