BAKER COUNTY – Driving under the influence of a controlled substance led to the arrest of a Montana man in Baker County recently. Reports from Oregon State Police suggest that a trooper responded to a driving complaint of a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) swerving across the center line and fogline as well as varying speeds.
After stopping the CMV the Trooper saw signs of impairment from the driver, 58-year-old George H. Overland, who consented to a Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
Overland was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, the CMV was towed from the scene.
