BEND(Released from Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE)-On December 23rd, 2024, at approximately 1130 PM, the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team, in collaboration with members of the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team and Jefferson County Sheriffโs Office, concluded a drug investigation with the arrest of Christopher Javier Exposito, age 31.
The CODE Team conducted a drug investigation which revealed Exposito was selling illegal narcotics in central Oregon.
On December 23rd, 2024, at approximately 11:30 PM, members of the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Exposito was driving, the vehicle information will not be disclosed, this occurred in the area of US Hwy. 26/ NW Cherry Ln. in Jefferson County. Exposito was taken into custody on probable cause of him possessing and distributing illegal narcotics.
Drug detection K9, Bonnie, and her handler, responded to the scene and Bonnie alerted to the odor presence of drugs in the vehicle.
During a search of the vehicle detectives located a quantity of powdered fentanyl, methamphetamine, scales, packaging material, cash, and a stolen handgun hidden in the center console area, all consistent with Exposito possessing and distributing illegal narcotics. The stolen handgun is still being investigated at this time.
Exposito was transported and lodged at the Jefferson County Adult Jail.
CODE Detectives were assisted by the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team and the Jefferson County Sheriffโs Office during this investigation.
This is an ongoing investigation, more charges, and more arrests may be conducted.
Criminal complaints contain only charges; defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

The Oregon-Idaho HIDTA program is an Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) sponsored counterdrug grant program that coordinates and provides funding resources to multi-agency drug enforcement task forces to disrupt or dismantle local, multi-state and international drug trafficking organizations.
