Driver of stolen vehicle involved in fatal traffic collision

KENNEWICK – The Washington State Patrol says a man driving a 2000 Toyota Camry stolen out of Pasco died Tuesday morning on State Route 240 at milepost 41 in Kennewick.
The driver, identified as Christopher I. Hernandez, 20, of Kennewick was not being pursued, but officers were keeping him in sight when he lost control and rolled into the westbound lanes at 3:35 a.m.
Hernandez was pronounced deceased at the scene. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the fatal collision. The cause is under investigation.
