Driver killed after semi rolls off overpass

YAKIMA – The Washington State Patrol is investigating a fatal collision involving a semi-truck and trailer that rolled off an overpass Tuesday just before 4 a.m. Troopers said the driver, Dale D. Lewis, 60, of Sunnyside died at the scene.
Lewis was westbound on Interstate 82 on the ramp to North First Street and failed to negotiate a curve. The semi rolled going over the cement barrier, landing on North First Street.
No other vehicles were involved, and the cause is under investigation.
