BAKER COUNTY – The drive-up window at Baker County Public Library will be out-of-service this week for maintenance, from Wednesday through Friday, December 15 – 17.  Patrons that need curbside service for pickup or return of items are asked to park near the front entrance along Resort Street and call library staff at 541-523-6419.

Maintenance this week will involve a remodel of the drive-through staff workstation space. At a later date, the window itself will be replaced. With years of heavy use, it has become difficult to open and close.

“It’s unusual for a public library to have drive-through service” says Library Director Perry Stokes, “but our patrons love it and staff do too. During the pandemic it has been one of the tools we’ve used to continue to safely serve the community. I regularly hear from staff at other libraries how envious they are of our drive-up feature.”
