Don’t fall victim to Soc. Security scam in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY – Locals, beware of multiple scams circulating throughout Grant County. Reports have come in of folks getting phone calls from people posing to be working with the U.S. Government. Some are posing as representatives from the Social Security Administration, and other folks have reported receiving calls from the scammer pretending to work for the IRS. The caller usually ends up asking for money or gift cards.
Remember to never give out personal or financial information to an untrusted source. Folks who might fall victim to one of these scams are encouraged to report the incident to law enforcement.
