Donations sought for Union County Deputy Dan Johnson’s fight with cancer

LA GRANDE — Donations are being sought in support of a Union County Deputy undergoing cancer treatment.

In the summer of 2024, Union County Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Johnson was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as Neuroendocrine Carcinoma. This cancer specifically forms in the neuroendocrine cells, which produce hormones throughout the body.

The Union County Sheriff’s office is asking the community to support Deputy Johnson during this difficult time by. Monetary donations are being collected by the Union County Sheriff’s office to help pay for Deputy Johnson’s increasing medical bills.

Donations can be dropped off at the front desk of the Union County Sheriff’s Office, 1109 K Ave., La Grande, Oregon.
