UNION, OR – The fireworks event that will be displayed from Buffalo Peak Golf Course in Union, July 4th is nearing their goal of $20,000. According to Donna Beverage, Union Chamber of Commerce said more donations have come in. Papa Murphy’s Pizza donated $1,000 recently for a total of $16,100 going toward this year’s event. With the fireworks more visible from the peak, Beverage said on-lookers will be able to view from their homes and other locations in town. Also, there will be a new website in a week or so, Beverage said the site would be helpful with information and donations called Thunder at the Peak.
