Donated funds provide 6 months of operation for Grant Co. Food Pantry

JOHN DAY – Grant County Food Pantry Secretary Kris Beal was on KJDY’s Coffee Time Wednesday morning. She informed listeners that during the past holiday season, a generous amount of donations came in and will ensure the local food bank’s operation for six months:

“During those months…so, that would’ve been November and December, the Food Pantry received a little over $10,000 in donations from people in Grant County.

It costs us approximately $1,500 a month to run the Food Pantry, and so that’s a little over 6 months.”
