Donate to the Sharing Pantry today

BAKER CITY โ€“ โ€œTake what you need, leave what you canโ€  The Baker County Safe Communities Coalition is reminding citizens in and around Baker City of a โ€œSharing Pantryโ€ located in the Eagles Parking lot at 2936 H St.  This sharing pantry is a great way to help those in food disparity.

While donations of unexpired items are always appreciated, there are some items that the Sharing Pantry is looking for more than others. Such as

The basics:

โ€ขMeals in a can (stew, chili, soup)

โ€ขTune and canned meat

โ€ขPeanut Butter

โ€ขCanned foods with pop-top lids

โ€ขLow-sugar cereals

โ€ข100% fruit juice in single serving boxes

โ€ขCanned fruit packed in juice

โ€ขCanned vegetables (low salt)

Additional kid-friendly options:

โ€ขPop-top tuna

โ€ข100% fruit rolls

โ€ขRaisins

โ€ขGraham crackers

โ€ขUnsweetened applesauce

โ€ขCheese and crackers

โ€ขFruit cups

โ€ขPretzels

โ€ขGranola bars (without peanuts)

The Baker County Safe Communities Coalition reminds those donating that there are some folks without running water or a can opener, so tab open cans are much appreciated.
