BAKER CITY โ โTake what you need, leave what you canโ The Baker County Safe Communities Coalition is reminding citizens in and around Baker City of a โSharing Pantryโ located in the Eagles Parking lot at 2936 H St. This sharing pantry is a great way to help those in food disparity.
While donations of unexpired items are always appreciated, there are some items that the Sharing Pantry is looking for more than others. Such as
The basics:
โขMeals in a can (stew, chili, soup)
โขTune and canned meat
โขPeanut Butter
โขCanned foods with pop-top lids
โขLow-sugar cereals
โข100% fruit juice in single serving boxes
โขCanned fruit packed in juice
โขCanned vegetables (low salt)
Additional kid-friendly options:
โขPop-top tuna
โข100% fruit rolls
โขRaisins
โขGraham crackers
โขUnsweetened applesauce
โขCheese and crackers
โขFruit cups
โขPretzels
โขGranola bars (without peanuts)
The Baker County Safe Communities Coalition reminds those donating that there are some folks without running water or a can opener, so tab open cans are much appreciated.
