NYSSA — The Nyssa Police Department recently issued a reminder for residents who own dogs within Nyssa city limits, to get your canines licensed or renewed at City Hall. The department recently took to social media to explain that due to an ordinance, it is a violation for residents not to have their dogs registered and licensed at Nyssa City Hall. The fee is currently $15, and the licenses ensure that the local dogs have their rabies vaccinations. Also, it helps city officials track down the dog’s owner if it gets loose and is found in town.

City officials noted that the dog licensing fee will increase to $30 beginning March 1st, 2025. Call Nyssa City Hall for further details at (541) 372-2264.
