DAYTON, Washington – Bluewood is facing delays with its Skyline Express project, the first high-speed quad chairlift for the resort. A letter dated Aug. 29 informs pass holders that a dispute with the lift broker has held up crucial components needed for installation.
While most equipment has arrived, some final shipments are delayed and beyond Bluewood’s control, causing them to miss the installation deadline for this season. Bluewood has initiated legal action to secure the remaining parts, but the legal process is slow, making winter installation impossible.
Bluewood states it cannot risk starting the dismantling of the old lift without all components on site, as it may hinder opening this winter. The letter reassures the public that ensuring skiing and riding this season is the top priority and outlines plans for installation and a $100 credit for eligible pass holders.
