Dispatchers Shoop and Locke graduate DPSST

JOHN DAY – The Grant County Emergency Communications Agency recently issued a “double congratulations” to the two newest local DPSST graduates, Zinny Locke and Zachary Shoop.

On an earlier episode of Coffee Time, Dispatch Director Cammie Haney said unlike many other emergency communication agencies in the state, Grant County’s is nearly fully staffed:

“Believe it or not, we actually have nine people. I believe four of those are reserves, which, they obviously get paid for their shifts but they are not full-time employees. We have several from the community. We have one—Susanne Settle—who is the Emergency Manager in Harney County that actually comes up and fills shifts as well.”
