GRANT COUNTY – Grant County Sheriff’s Office Forest Deputy Dave Dobler was on KJDY’s Coffee Time recently, and noted that he’s been working to reduce user conflicts on local snowmobile trails:

“The local snowmobile club has spent a lot of time and effort trying to groom the designated snowmobile trails. We’re getting reports of 4×4’s driving out on those snowmobile trails—some folks falling trees and starting campfires.

We would just ask that you don’t do that. There may be some violations there that you don’t want to talk to law enforcement about.”

Deputy Dobler noted that there are maps that indicate specific snowmobile trail systems that can be found at John Day Polaris.
