Depredation grants award to local ranches

UNION COUNTY – Union County had $6,000 in grant funds from the Oregon Department of Agriculture under the Wolf Depredation program for management techniques or nonlethal wolf deterrence techniques implemented by producers within Areas of Known Wolf Activity. During the Union County Board of Commissioners meeting recently, local advisory committee had reviewed three applications and recommended funding awards to the Commissioners. The following awards were approved $2,910.60 to Krebs Livestock, $1,123.80 to Eric Harlow, and $1,965.60 to Bar V Cattle Company.
