LA GRANDE – (Information provided by EOU Athletics) The Cascade Collegiate Conference has announced its WVT Laboratory Players of the Week and Eastern Oregon had one player make the list.
Garnering the weekly honor for the Mountaineers is Kara Gooderham who was named the Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Gooderham picked up the honor for the Mountaineers after she helped anchor the team’s defense in a 3-0 shutout win over Rocky Mountain College. She played all 90 minutes in the road win for Eastern Oregon and helped limit the Battlin’ Bears offense to just two shots on goal. For Gooderham, this is her first weekly honor of the 2021 season.
The Mountaineers will return home for their final three games of the regular season inside Community Stadium. Eastern Oregon begins its three-game homestand against two in-state foes in Oregon Tech on Friday, Oct. 15, followed by Southern Oregon on Saturday, Oct. 16. Kickoff for both games is set for 6:30 p.m. PT.
