SALEM – Legislative Days begin today (Tuesday) in Salem. The House Interim Committee on Climate, Energy, and Environment will hold an informational meeting on data centers in Oregon at 2:30 p.m.
A number of industry members are testifying including Amazon Web Services, ECOnorthwest, and Torus, Inc. State agency officials on the agenda include those from the Oregon Department of Energy, Oregon Water Resources Department, Oregon Public Utility Commission, and the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.
The committee’s co-vice chair is Rep. Bobby Levy (R-Echo). Umatilla County Commissioner Dan Dorran tells us he will attend the meeting as well. He is appointed to the data center workgroup for the state.
