BAKER COUNTY – Shelly Cutler, Executive Director with the Baker County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau has announced that after seven years with the chamber she will be resigning from that position as of October 31, 2022
Cutler says she has accepted a position with Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Baker City and Ontario as a Communications and Marketing Specialist. She notes that prior to being Baker County Chamber’s Executive Director, she was with the hospital. She is excited to be returning to where she came from.
When asked about her upcoming transition Cutler said, “I have loved my time at the Chamber and Visitors Center, we have done a lot of good things in the seven years that I have been there. I think there is really good energy among our members and with the tourism and marketing in Baker County and I think there are great things ahead for that office. I don’t think there is anything greater than working with people who are traveling or those who are working their business.”Cutler notes that those interested in applying for this position can do so at the Employment Department, on Indeed, by emailing the Chamber or in person. Hopes are that the board will be able to begin holding interviews on the week of October 17th and hire a replacement in time for Cutler to be able to do some training before she leaves.
