MISSION – The Board of Trustees for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation has appointed Teara Farrow Ferman, the manager of the Department of Natural Resources Cultural Resources Protection Program, to serve as interim executive director. She replaces Paul Rabb who will return to his post as the tribes’ finance director.
“Teara’s commitment to the Tribes’ cultural values, years of service, and ability to collaborate were important attributes we considered when appointing her as interim executive director, BOT Chairwoman Kat Brigham stated.
Farrow Ferman has served in her current position for 16 years and has been employed by CTUIR for more than 24 years. In addition to protecting cultural and archaeological resources, she is credited with repatriating thousands of ancestral remains. She also manages Ataw LLC, a small cultural resources services business operated by CTUIR.
