Crews extinguish 2 roadside fires in Grant County

MT. VERNON/DAYVILLE – On Sunday, multiple firefighting resources were dispatched to two roadside fires along Highway 26, west of Mt. Vernon. Wildcad.net reports that resources were on scene shortly after the calls came in to dispatch yesterday evening. Photos by Grant County Emergency Management of crews mopping up the incidents can be found shared to the My Grant/Harney County Facebook page. Nothing further was released, and we’ll provide more as it comes in.
Several other small fires were contained over the weekend at a tenth of an acre or less, including an incident near Antelope Lookout. Stay tuned for wildfire updates.
