Crews continue to gain ground on Burnt Creek Fire as warm weather forecasted for this weekend

ENTERPRISE – Containment level on the Burnt Creek Fire continues to rise as crews strengthen containment lines.

The latest report indicates crews remain successful in their efforts with containment at 80%, preventing spread toward private lands while keeping the blaze within its current footprint. This success has allowed firefighters assigned to the Burnt Creek Fire to be available to assist with new fire starts nearby.

Firefighters will contend with warming and drying conditions this upcoming weekend with forecasted high temperatures in the 90s, poor overnight recovery and low humidity. Light winds are forecasted for Friday and Saturday.
