Credit union text scam impacting Harney County

HARNEY COUNTY – The Harney County Sheriff’s office and Office of Emergency Management are warning local residents of the latest scam circulating around the area. This time, folks are getting texts from scammers purporting to be from Selco Community Credit Union, talking about unusual account activity and providing a link. Do not click the link and delete the text. Blocking the number and reporting it as a scammer is an option on most cell phones.
