OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Health has charged former Walla Walla dentist Dr. Mackenzie H. Craik with unprofessional conduct. He allegedly violated his duty of full disclosure to a child’s mother by changing the child’s treatment form three fillings to 12 restorations.
Healthcare providers charged with unprofessional conduct have 20 days to respond to the Department of Health in writing. The case then enters the settlement process. If no disciplinary agreement can be reached the case then goes to a hearing.
Craik also worked at Advanced Pediatric Dentistry in Hermiston. He left there in 2020 and his Oregon dental license expired on March 31. According to his LinkedIn profile, Craik left the Walla Walla practice in September of 2019. His Washington dental license expired March 11. 2020. He is now listed on LinkedIn as the co-owner of The Center for Pediatric Dentistry in Augusta, Georgia since Sept. 2019. His Georgia license was issued on Jan. 13, 2020 and will expire on Dec. 31, 2021.
