PENDLETON – Numerous crack seal projects will be underway in Pendleton Wednesday through Friday. The city has placed “No Parking” signs in the areas where the hot sealant is to be applied. Those signs notify people of the exact date for their street’s work.
The road surface has to be dry for the sealant to work. If the surface is wet, the date on the “No Parking” sign will be changed to reflect the delay. The signs mean absolutely no parking from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the day in question.
People in those areas should also receive door hangers with further information for the impacted residents. Those include removing all vehicles, dumpsters, etc. parked on the street; and turning off the sprinklers.
People are asked to also refrain from parking on the street the same day the road has been sealed. The sealant can stick to tires. Motorists who do get sealant stuck to their tires can have it removed safely by CR Contracting at 541-306-6216. People are asked to leave name, phone number, and address so their foreman can call to safely remove excess sealant.
