COLLEGE PLACE – College Place Public Schools has launched a new onsite mental health support program made possible by a $270,000 grant from the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health.
Called Wellness Without Limits, the initiative’s goal is to address critical behavioral health needs within the school’s student community directly at school sites.
This approach aligns with public health officials’ recommendations to create voluntary, accessible services for individuals experiencing distress, improve service coordination, and expand peer support.
Previously, CPPS had limited services to offer and many of them relied on insurance that created an obstacle for students. The funding for this program comes as part of a countywide initiative by DCH to enhance behavioral health resources across demographics and communities.
