COLLEGE PLACE – The College Place Police Department reports two separate vehicle seizures Wednesday night led to the recovery of drugs, a gun, and weapon components.
Just after 9 p.m., an officer contacted two men attempting to steal used appliances at Home Depot. Jack Langer, 47, of Walla Walla, and Josiah Pero, 30, of Caldwell, Idaho – both convicted felons – were arrested on multiple charges. A loaded firearm was also located on the floorboard of the associated vehicle.
Around the same time, another police officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle that did not have visible registration. The driver, Anthony Carlsen, 37, of Kennewick, entered private property near Southeast Fifth Street and Southeast Elm Avenue and nearly struck a parked vehicle.
Carlsen fled the area and was not located. He has multiple felony warrants and faces multiple charges. Upon the execution of a search warrant, a loaded magazine, additional firearm components and narcotics were recovered from the vehicle.
