U.S. 26 now shut down between Ironside and Brogan due to wildfire

UPDATE – 7:35PM: U.S. 26 is expected to remain closed throughout the night. The fire is now burning on both sides of the highway. Crews will assess the situation and provide an update in the morning. Please avoid the area and check TripCheck.com for the latest road status updates

UPDATE – 5:00PM: U.S. 26 is now closed between Ironside (milepost 231) and Brogan (milepost 254) due to a wildfire that is moving towards the highway. Avoid the area and check TripCheck.com for the latest road status updates. Expect extended closure.

Idaho Power is also reporting at least 50 customers are without power in the area due to a “weather-related event”.
