WALLA WALLA – Starting tomorrow (Friday), the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health and its partners have agreed to pause the operation of the COVID-19 testing tent at Providence Southgate Medical Park until further notice. This is due to a recent drop in testing and cases.
“Pausing the testing efforts at Providence Southgate is a good sign of where things are with COVID in the community,” Walla Walla County Public Health Officer Dr. Daniel Kaminsky said. “Cases are down, and subsequently, the amount of testing is also. Should COVID cases start to uptick, we will visit the option of reopening the testing tent.
Testing at local pharmacies and some health care clinics continue to be available. For testing locations or information on upcoming vaccination clinics, visit https://www.covidwwc.com/.
