JOHN DAY – (Release from Community Counseling Solutions)

The Grant County Health Department and Blue Mountain Hospital will be providing a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Grant County Fairgrounds pavilion on January 19th from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. for Grant County residents who fit into the following categories:

 Food service workers

 Individuals over the age of 65

 Individuals who work in Health Care who were not able to receive the vaccine previously.

We will have approximately 100 vaccines available. This will be on a first come, first served basis. As more vaccines become available, we will offer more vaccine clinics.

At this time, we are not able to schedule individual appointments for the vaccine. The vaccine ships in vials. Each vial contains approximately 11 doses. Once a vial is opened, it cannot be moved and all doses within the vial need to be used within 6 hours from the time the vial is opened. Hence the reason why we need to schedule larger events or in groups of 11.
