COVE – The Cove FFA chapter recently shared some highlights, including a chapter first achievement, from their time at the 2024 FFA state convention in Redmond. In total, 9 students received their FFA state degrees while one earned the Oregon FFA Star Farmer award for their Supervised Agricultural Experience project (SAE). Details on the chapter’s experience, as shared by Cove FFA advisor Brendan Kelly, are as follows:
“Cove FFA had a great turn out at the Oregon FFA State Convention, taking 25 students!
We had 9 Students receive their Oregon FFA State Degree:
In addition, Gavin Bakker was awarded the Oregon FFA Star Farmer for her Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). He raises club lambs with his parents, Bakker Clubs. Gavin is currently attending BMCC and will continue to grow his SAE. He is the first one in Cove FFA History to be awarded this honor.”
