PENDLETON – The Umatilla County Board of Commissioners has approved selling a building the county owns on Southeast Court Avenue to Oregon Grain Growers Distillery.

“We will sell our maintenance shop, which is immediately adjacent to Oregon Distillery in order to permit them to dramatically expand their business basically at the same site and location,” Chairman George Murdock said.

Murdock said OGG will allow the county’s maintenance crew to work out of a portion of its new property until a suitable new location is found. He added that it is a good boost for the local economy to see a business grow.

“We think this is really exciting news for Pendleton that a business is planning to basically double at least in size and be here in Pendleton,” Murdock said.
