County Road Closure Near Cayuse (Bingham Road)

(News release from Umatilla County Emergency Operations Center – Umatilla County is advising the public that a section of Bingham Road near milepost 23 is closed and impassable due to flooding.

A culvert in the area has become plugged, causing water to overtop the roadway. Debris and sediment are present, creating unsafe travel conditions.

The roadway is closed until further notice.

Motorists are asked to:

Avoid the area
Do not attempt to drive through flooded roadways
Follow all posted closures and directions from emergency personnel

Umatilla County is actively coordinating response efforts with local partners, including the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR), and will provide updates as conditions change. The Emergency Operations Center has been activated to maintain situational awareness throughout the county.
