CANYON CITY – The Grant County Court has tightened down their mask policy, as of yesterday’s court meeting. County Judge Scott Myers noted that since they’ve caught the attention of OSHA, things will need to run strictly in compliance with state mandates when it comes to face coverings. He warned a few members of the audience not to “call his bluff”:

“We have a mask mandate I’m reluctantly willing to enforce, but I’m going to enforce it. I will have you either arrested for trespass or escorted out of the building. I’m quite sure Todd will—the Sheriff will—assist me in escorting you out of the building. I’ll walk you out if you want me to walk you out.”

Following the judge’s statement, two members of the audience exited the courtroom and one person masked up. In the past, members of the audience were allowed to remove their masks provided they were spaced 6 feet from another person.
