Council wants art for its bare walls

WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Arts Commission seeks submissions of works from area artists for display inside city council chambers.

A jury, which may consist of three or four people, including one community member, one local artist, one member of the Arts Commission and one member of ArtWalla, will select pieces to be place in residence for a one-year period.

Artists must be at least 18 years old and reside in the Walla Walla Valley, which includes Dayton and Milton-Freewater. Each artist may submit up to three pieces for consideration. There is not application fee or cost to submit.

Submissions are due by Friday, Nov. 19 and will be reviewed by the jury by Wednesday, Dec. 1. Installation is anticipated to occur in January 2022.
